The Bay of Islands is the warmest part of New Zealand during winter months, where clear sunny days filled with double-digit temperatures are the norm. Not trying to brag, or anything…

Of course any wedding venue will still have rainy days here and there, but this shouldn’t get in the way of your perfect day. With heated veranda and indoor areas included, it really is a stress-less experience to move the location of your ceremonies if needed (might be best to hold off on the rain dances though).

Quieter months bring better flexibility and availability for both local and out-of-town vendors, and can often include better rates depending who you talk to.

Date flexibility is another thing to consider. You’ll likely have a better chance of choosing the date that you want during off-peak months, rather than planning you entire wedding around limited vendor availability.
