Any memorable wedding needs a great playlist

Any memorable day needs a great playlist, but creating one can be a tricky and sometimes technical endeavour.

Music is such a large part of any successful event, and is hands-down your best tool for setting the vibe for the day. Have you ever been to the shops and there is no music playing? Feels weird right… Let’s not make that your wedding day.

Creating your Playlist

We recommend creating 2 playlists; one for the ceremony, and a seperate playlist for the reception. This will give you better control over the types of music playing during each part of the day — you might not want ‘Hey ya’ by Outkast pumping over the speakers a few minutes before you walk down the aisle (we won’t judge if you do).

This doesn't mean too much extra work either. Simply create two empty playlists in your streaming platform or software of choice, and name them accordingly. From here you can simply drop songs into each playlist as you find them.

We've found a few great playlists on Spotify to get you started — ripe with kiwi classics, a few jazzy numbers and of course, Sweet Caroline. Save any of these full playlists to your Spotify account for later, or start browsing through them to build your own playlists.

Simply share your public playlists with your venue, and they can take it from there.

Note: The playlists featured below are created with Spotify. A Spotify Premium account is necessary to stop adverts playing in between songs.
